You’re going to get a lot of information and a lot of it isn’t going to jive. Choosing a good dog trainer is important if you and your dog are going to be successful!
If these 5 reasons sound like someone you want to work with, then we may be a match made in dog-training heaven!
Reason #1 – Our approach is smart, fast and humane.
Not every dog trainer out there uses humane training. We do. In our classes, you never have to use force or coercion to train. That just isn’t our style.
What is our style: positive reinforcement, clicker training, and teaching your dog to work with you because they trust you and not because you demand it. When you combine these ingredients, it’s a recipe for success.
Reason #2 – Small class sizes
You and your dog will get the attention you deserve. Many classes have way too many people and dogs in class – it’s hard to concentrate with all of that going on! Not to mention, you almost never get to speak to your trainer one on one! This isn’t the case with Kahuna’s K9s – our group classes are kept small.
Reason # 3 – Flexible group classes that work around your schedule
With our modular classes, you are able to drop in whenever it suits your schedule. You purchase 6 sessions – spend those 6 sessions like vouchers by checking our calendar and signing yourself up for the date that works for you.
Reason #4 – We’re darn good teachers
Karen Pryor Academy graduate and certified training partner, Eryka Kahunanui knows what it takes to be an awesome teacher. That’s because she trains based on TAGTeach methods and positive reinforcement. You’re looking for a dog trainer because you want to learn how to train your dog and that’s exactly what we do.
We don’t yell, ridicule or judge – there’s no time for all of that. We get down to business and help you train your dog’s brain.
Reason #5 – We love dogs.
Well, duh. You’d expect that from your dog trainer. But it’s not just business for us, it’s personal. We attend events such as Clicker Expo, training camps like our upcoming Nose Work Camp, and learning seminars in our off-time.
More importantly, we love dogs so much we never use choke collars, prong collars, or shock collars (commonly referred to as e-collars).
Choosing a good dog trainer shouldn’t be difficult! We want to make it easy as possible. If you have any questions, give us a call or Contact us to sign up for classes today!
